The seed laid by the Padmashri is blossoming into sylvan symphony with a large chain of educational institutions through the meticulous planning and dynamic leadership of Shri Balasaheb Vikhe Patil 'the worthy son of worthy father'.

Hon 'ble Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil possesses dynamic personality and pragmatic vision. He is taking very keen interest in the progress of various institutions of Pravara Rural Education Society and has taken-up the Herculean task of modernizing the Systems and Processes. He has new knowledge with suitable blend of Indian culture and is working day and night to impart pragmatic dimensions to Pravara Rural Education Society and the institutions under this. He is a prodigy of knowledge and paragon of virtues. He is Ex-Minister for Agriculture & Water Conservation, Maharashtra State and presently a MLA.

The Society is headed by a Chairman - Hon 'ble Shri Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India who is assisted by a Vice-Chairman, Member of Governing Body (eminent persons of local area and people of repute from different walks of life from the State and outside) Secretary and Additional Secretaries. There are five committees to look after the different departmentsj areas of society for the smooth and effective functioning of the society and all institutions under it. These committees are - Managing Committee, Works Committee, Staff Selection Committee, Purchase Committee and Executive Committee.

Dr.N.J.Sonawane is the Secretary of the Pravara Rural Education Society since June 2003. He holds post graduate degree in Chemistry and he obtained the same from the University of Pune. Later completed his Ph.D. from the same University. He has distinction of having done Post Doctoral Research in Chemistry, at Nagoya University Japan. In addition to these he holds Bachelor's Degree in Law.

Dr. Sonawane started his career as Professor of Chemistry and soon became Head of the Department and later the Principal. He has headed reputed colleges of Nashik. In June 1998 he got most cowted post of Pro Vice Chancellor of University of Pune. Later on worked as Vice Chancellor of the same.

He has attended a number of conferences, seminars and workshops and is a member president of various prestigious academic bodies.

Dr.Sonawane has flair for writing and has authored several books besides publishing number of articles in various magazines and news papers.

He has given number of Radio talks on topics of general interest and has shared his experiences of Japan on Mumbai Television.

He is an educationist of repute and was instrumental in bring about landmark changes in the University of Pune as his stint as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor.

Dr.Sonawane has been conferred with various awards for his contribution in the field of education. Recently has been awarded Mother Teresa Excellence award by Front for National Progress, New Delhi.
